It's the second week of the boot camp already and man! It's been a wholly different ride.

The week started with a new task- Blogging. During the internship, we were taught blogging as a digital marketing tool and it was a wholesome experience working as a team to develop the blog and bring in readers.

After the distribution of the tasks on Monday, we converged on the group and began serious brainstorming on what to do. By 9 pm, everybody brought in their ideas, and top of the list on what to blog on was food, closely followed by educational blog. A poll was created over the night and the next day, the food blog was in the lead!

Omo, food blogging is not easy o. Not the writing, not the curating part though. The hardest part was the salivations that accompanied our content search 😉. The team lead attested to this by saying he's been salivating while looking over food contents😂.

By Tuesday, we decided to share the writing tasks. Blog Post Time Table

For Wednesday

  • Breakfast- Cyril
  • Lunch - Chinazo
  • Dinner - Eunice Extra - Chinazo and Benson

For Thursday

  • Breakfast- Benson
  • Lunch - Zainab
  • Dinner - Favour
  • Dinner/extra - Stella Extra - Eunice

Promise, a professional WordPress developer, worked on creating our blog and handling all the back-end logistics of the blog.

Work started!

On Wednesday, before 4 pm, blogposts were dropped by various writers. See talent! All the write-ups were fantastic and the dishes in the posts were beautiful!.

Thursday rolled in with the launch of the blog posts. Promise had completely worked on the blog including the keyword ranking, SEO, and analytics. Our posts went up on Thursday as well as the posts of the people handling Thursday's dishes. The blog link: foodslot-5.blogspot.com

Before the end of Thursday, the analytics started rolling in. Our blog had hit a total of 1.1k views from Nigeria alone just by organic research!!!! This talent is plenty! We kept on sharing so as to take each post to a 100+ viewership like the task demanded.

On Friday, all our posts had crossed 100+ views with some posts getting close to 300 views. Our analytics wasn't doing bad either with the blog getting a viewership of 1.6k! What did I say about talents earlier? It's plenty!

All in all, it's been a very good week. Now, we have real-life experience of blogging under our belts and we look forward to what task next week ushers in.
